In 2012, Maritime Heritage Minnesota conducted a side and down-imaging sonar survey of White Bear Lake in Ramsey and Washington Counties, Minnesota. Many anomalies and 4 suspected wrecks were recorded by the sonar unit. In August and September 2014, MHM and our great volunteers returned to White Bear Lake to investigate 26 anomalies, confirming the identities of 4 wrecks and 4 other submerged cultural resources. The White Bear Lake Nautical Archaeology 1 Report is a synopsis of our findings. This project was funded by a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grant, part of the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund of the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
